A la edad de 7 a\u00f1os empez\u00f3 a practicar el yoga junto con sus padres, el maestro de los cuales es el maestro conocido hoy como <a href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/B._K._S._Iyengar\">B.K.S. Iyengar<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A la edad de 17 a\u00f1os ya era capaz de realiar m\u00e1s de 100 posturas distintas, entre ellas algunas posturas muy raras y otras muy extremas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"472\" src=\"https:\/\/pauthaiyoga.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Iyengar-5.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-864\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pauthaiyoga.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Iyengar-5.jpg 600w, https:\/\/pauthaiyoga.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Iyengar-5-300x236.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><figcaption>B.K.S. Iyengar<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Su maestro le asign\u00f3 la misi\u00f3n de viajar por el resto del mundo para ense\u00f1ar el yoga. Fue en uno de estos viajes, en Londres, donde ayudando a un amigo a subir unas cajas a una furgoneta, que tuvo una lesi\u00f3n en las vertebras lumbares.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Esta lesi\u00f3n fue tan fuerte que tuvo que comenzar toda una tarea de reeducaci\u00f3n. La frustraci\u00f3n de saber lo que pod\u00eda hacer antes y las limitaciones que ahora ten\u00eda era muy grande: tuvo que reeducar su cuerpo de nuevo y ya no era posible llegar a donde lleg\u00f3 en el pasado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Este hecho le hizo plantearse cu\u00e1l es la finalidad del asana. \u00bfQu\u00e9 representa realmente el asana en la vida de un yogui? Ahora ya no pod\u00eda practicar tanto como quer\u00eda y deb\u00eda evitar llegar tan lejos como lo hizo en el pasado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Con el paso de los a\u00f1os entendi\u00f3 que el Asana no es m\u00e1s que un medio, no puede nunca llegar a ser un fin. El asana es nuestro medio para seguir nuestro <a href=\"https:\/\/pauthaiyoga.com\/swadharma-arte-de-cumplir-nuestro-karma\/\">Dharma, nuestro camino de vida<\/a>; no es nuestro fin. Practicar asanas 7h por d\u00eda lo \u00fanico que puede hacer es acabar alimentando nuestro ego.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La historia de este yogui reson\u00f3 en m\u00ed. No porque sea un loco de los asanas, sino porque como profesor de yoga, de hatha yoga en particular, me doy cuenta de que los asanas forman una parte muy importante de mi ense\u00f1anza. E.
