{"id":823,"date":"2018-07-10T06:20:56","date_gmt":"2018-07-10T06:20:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pauthaiyoga.com\/?p=823"},"modified":"2018-07-10T06:23:12","modified_gmt":"2018-07-10T06:23:12","slug":"el-yoga-de-hoy-en-dia-no-es-yoga","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pauthaiyoga.com\/es\/el-yoga-de-hoy-en-dia-no-es-yoga\/","title":{"rendered":"El \u00abyoga\u00bb de hoy en d\u00eda no es \u00abyoga\u00bb"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Cuando estudiamos los textos tradicionales del yoga: <a href=\"https:\/\/pauthaiyoga.com\/yoga-sutra-de-patanjali\/\">Yoga Sutras de Patanjali<\/a>, Upanishads, Goraksasataka, Hatha Yoga Pradipika entre otros, los llamadas asanas del yoga moderno no siempre est\u00e1n presentes y, cuando lo est\u00e1n, tienen un papel secundario en la pr\u00e1ctica del yoga. El trabajo sobre el control de la respiraci\u00f3n y la concentraci\u00f3n, as\u00ed como las t\u00e9cnicas de purificaci\u00f3n tienen un papel mucho m\u00e1s importante.<\/p>\n<p>Una gran parte de los asanas que hoy en d\u00eda practicamos en una clase de yoga ya estaban descritos en manuales de gimnasia del norte de Europa a principios del siglo XX. Este era un yoga muy influenciado por los principios religiosos y espirituales de occidente mismo, cosa que supon\u00eda una fractura radical con respecto a los antiguos linajes del yoga en India. De la primera ola de yogis que llegaron a occidente, destacamos a <a href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Swami_Vivekananda\">Swami Vivekananda,<\/a> quien hizo una introducci\u00f3n al hinduismo en el congreso mundial de las religiones que tuvo lugar en Estados Unidos en 1893. <a href=\"https:\/\/books.google.es\/books?id=tUgBIrn5REwC&amp;pg=PA73&amp;lpg=PA73&amp;dq=vivekananda+rejected+hatha+yoga&amp;source=bl&amp;ots=QXpFl2R2K5&amp;sig=hiHDuUoi03R6uhI-JxbiK7i0Ew8&amp;hl=ca&amp;sa=X&amp;ved=0ahUKEwic_dyf7JPcAhUFORQKHS3oBZcQ6AEIJzAA#v=onepage&amp;q=vivekananda%20rejected%20hatha%20yoga&amp;f=false\">Vivekananda rechazaba el hatha yoga<\/a>, pero esto no quiere decir que la pr\u00e1ctica f\u00edsica no fuera aceptada por otros gur\u00fas en India.<\/p>\n<h3>Los asanas modernos<\/h3>\n<p>Una de las figuras m\u00e1s importantes que nos ense\u00f1\u00f3 los asanas modernos fue <a href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Tirumalai_Krishnamacharya\">T. Krishnamacharya<\/a> (1888-1989), que estudi\u00f3 en el instituto Kuvalayananda en los a\u00f1os 1930 y ense\u00f1\u00f3 a maestros tan conocidos como B.K.S. Iyengar, K. Pattabhhi Jois, Indra Devi y T.K.V. Desikachar. Krishnamacharya era un gran conocedor de las ense\u00f1anzas tradicionales del hinduismo y el ayurveda, pero tambi\u00e9n era consciente de las necesidades del mundo moderno. As\u00ed que desarroll\u00f3 toda una pr\u00e1ctica de asanas en los a\u00f1os 1930. Los disc\u00edpulos de Krishnamacharya son probablemente los responsables de que el yoga sea hoy tan conocido (sin menospreciar otros maestros menos conocidos).<\/p>\n<p>La pregunta que nos podemos plantear al fin y al cabo es: \u00bfqu\u00e9 tienen que ver los asanas modernos que practicamos en una llamada \u00abclase de yoga\u00bb con la tradici\u00f3n milenaria del yoga? Si estos ejercicios ya exist\u00edan en Europa antes de la llegada de Vivekananda y sabiendo que fue Krishnamacharya quien \u00abinnov\u00f3\u00bb para adaptar el yoga a la vida moderna, \u00bfde qu\u00e9 manera es diferente el yoga del pilates? \u00bfson las posturas realmente importantes para la filosof\u00eda y\u00f3guica? \u00bfpara llegar al <em>estado de yoga<\/em>?<\/p>\n<h3>El camino y la vuelta al origen<\/h3>\n<p>Debemos preguntarnos por cu\u00e1l es nuestro fin, cu\u00e1l es el fin del yoga:<\/p>\n<div>\n<blockquote>\n<h3>yoga\u015b-citta-vr\u0325tti-nirodha\u1e25<\/h3>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>El yoga es el cese de movimientos de la consciencia. Y a ello podemos llegar de muchas formas distintas: cada tradici\u00f3n milenaria lo explica, el Tao chino, el Zen japon\u00e9s. Y cada tradici\u00f3n est\u00e1 adaptada a una sociedad con unos principios, con unas costumbres, con unos automatismos propios de cada uno.<\/p>\n<p>En Occidente hemos descubierto que los Asanas nos ayudan a recuperar la consciencia perdida de nuestro cuerpo. A trav\u00e9s de los asanas, los occidentales encauzamos nuestra consciencia hacia nosotros mismos, tomamos control de nuestros sentidos (<em>Pratyahara<\/em>), nos ayudan a concentrarnos (<em>Dharana<\/em>) y nos permiten preparar nuestro cuerpo para sentarnos c\u00f3modamente y meditar (<em>Dhyana<\/em>).
